about

An aching orange sun inflates on a wavering horizon line, a jagged and burnt expanse of asteroid-blasted ranges cutting a through-line black as soot. The empty morning greets a windblown outpost, abandoned and resigned to the red planet's prodigious dust storms. Shards of stray metal, debris from the lander and bio-comm units, glimmer and ring like chimes in the sweeping air currents. Waves and waves in a gigantic dry sea made of sand wash over the once optimistic settlement, now nameless, forsaken, reclaimed.
